The Meaning Of Life – As We Think We Know It….
By Keith Everett
Have you ever asked yourself this question,”Where Did My Life GO? where have all the years gone?
Time is just like that dial on a service station pump, it turns so fast, before we know it, its GONE… 10 years ago seems like only yesterday
Just like all the time we used up, the future is also on the meter..
The MOST valuable commodity on Earth is your TIME, and it’s ticking away, FASTER than a speeding train..
Even while you are reading this, your life is ticking.. relentlessly on and on.. your story is CLOSING…
Or IS IT?
Perhaps your story is only just BEGINNING., you see, we assume that as we get to 40, 50, 60, 70 whatever, that things are coming to a close, like it’s written somewhere in life’s great book, that after these certain numbers appear in your life, we should all curl up and just DIE…
I think a major reason why people start to feel old and ask that question “where did my life go”? is because THEY themselves have started to GIVE UP!
You see, if you don’t listen to all the HYPE & BS that surrounds us everyday, it really IS a pretty equal life, full of ENDLESS opportunities…
You got to this point in your life by being YOU… if you are not fast becoming the YOU, you want to be – then change PLANET You!
You really are the sum total of all your thoughts & actions (including your decisions), that’s how you got to this stage in the first place, It’s easy to start beating yourself up and wishing you could have done things differently, but even if you had made different decisions, you DON’T actually know that they would have ended up being BETTER decisions.
It’s up to US to decide where we want to go from here. It’s not the government, our friends, our partner or anybody else’s fault as to what happens to us, from now on, It is simply, how we SEE ourselves.
I have a theory – some people only act their age because they actually KNOW how old they really are. My guess is, if you were 45 but you truly believed you were 30, because you had lived on a desert island and you had NO way of tracking your age, you would age more slowly and act and think more like a 30 year old than a 45 year old
People give age too much POWER and our society as a whole seems obsessed with it.
Therefore, the main influence on our lives is not society around us for who some of us blame, but WHO we think we really are. We decide as we think, our story is written for us by our thoughts.
We live in a BLAME society, it’s easy to blame someone else for our misfortune. People DIE, and people LEAVE – leaving us heartbroken and sad, but at the end of the day, we fought to get into this life, beating millions of tiny sperm, we fought to get through this life often enduring heartache and pain… now I don’t know about you but I am going to fight to the very end to get the BEST from the REST of my life.
LIFE owes us nothing… We owe us EVERYTHING!
Keith
