I don’t know about you but the one thing I do like about a good money making idea, is when you give it a different slant, and it still works well.

Handywomen services are BIG BUCKS and are on the increase, as more and more women are becoming qualified in all trades, including Plumbing, Building, Carpentry, etc etc..

More and more Trade colleges are finding greater numbers of woman applying for training - to become fully qualified tradeswomen.

Up until a few years ago – you would never see a woman Electrician or Plumber, now this is becoming more and more commonplace.

So how does a Handywoman business work – SIMPLE…

I don’t know about you but when I get someone in to fix something like the Washing Machine or the Gas Boiler, I don’t really like strangers in my house anyway and I’m sure not many people do. - you never really know what to expect and it must be a lot worse for a woman, especially if she is alone in the house.

Hence, the rise and rise of the Handywoman Agency.

This business can be run from home with very little running costs. The idea is to place ads in the local papers for HANDY WOMEN… now before anyone say’s anything – you do need to phrase the adverts properly (LOL)…   Women Tradespeople Wanted – Top Rates of Pay. Or something along those lines.

All women tradespeople will be working for your agency initially on a self employed basis. This cuts out the hassles of employment contributions etc etc to start with and keeps your initial running costs down to a minimum.

Getting tradeswomen shouldn’t be a problem, check with your local trades college, put notices on the college noticeboard advertising for “qualified”  women tradespeople, or use local ads.

Getting people to take the service certainly shouldn’t be a problem either as it’s, usually the Woman who makes the decisions about the house anyway and I’m sure a lot of women would rather employ a qualified woman to do the same job that a man could do, without a lot of the BS! that comes with SOME Handymen around women! (sorry GUYS!)

You price the job, you collect the payment including the deposit – work out an hourly rate with your women tradeworkers and the bit in between will be your profit – less advertising costs & stationary, phone calls etc.
