Nov 16th
By Teezazzle
No, really, I made 68 cents on Squidoo! And you really can too! I will teach you how. This is all the information you need to know on how to build 25 lenses and make 68 cents. This is no scam folks. I promise. You REALLY can make 68 cents on Squidoo. You can work from home doing it too!
(Update-November 2009. I earned $68.31 this month! I told you it wasn’t a scam. However, it’s no fly by night get rich kind of thingy either. I mean, I built over 50 more lenses since the day I built this lens. And you can’t just slap these lenses together with a bunch of cut and paste either. You have to be creative and passionate about doing it to.
If you’re not, you wont make 68 cents much less $68. Anyway, I’ll keep ya all posted on my earnings. Thanks for all of your comments and “thumbs up” (votes)! No, really, thank you because all of your comments and votes helps my lens to grow in the rankings, which means more money! So, thanks! Happy Squidooing!).
Here is a monthly log of all my earnings – look how much you can earn..
I’m going to update this every month, so be sure to favor or lensroll me. Well, don’t favor or lensroll ME, I meant the lens. See if I reach my goal of $1 by December 31, 2009.
- Jan. 2009 ~ $0.00
- Feb. 2009 ~ $0.00
- Mar. 2009 ~ $0.22
- Apr. 2009 ~ $0.46 (68 cents total…I’m on a roll!
- May 2009 ~ What the heck! Here is my message from Squidoo. “Hey, you’ve got an estimated $0.22 in your Reserve Hopper*, just waiting until your account reaches your Cash Payout Threshold!” OK so I guess I’m LOSING money now. What happened to my 42 cents from April? I’m building brilliant lenses, have 5 in the top 100 in their category, but losing money? Go figure. Hey, you too can lose money……just build lenses like me!<3 days later> Another email from Squidoo. “Hey, you’ve got an estimated $0.46 in your Reserve Hopper*, just waiting until your account reaches your Cash Payout Threshold!”
- Ok Squidoo, you are starting to drive me craaaaaaazy. Make up your mind! Did I make 22 cents, 42 cents, 46 cents, or 68 cents? Do I need to change the lens title to “I made 22 cents on Squidoo and you can too”? If anyone out there knows how much I’ve made, please let me know!! Thanks.
- June 2009 ~ It’s June and I have 84 cents in my reserve Hopper!!! Almost there!
- July 2009 ~ I REACHED MY GOAL!!!!!!
My Squdioo earnings were $13 this month!!! Yes, DOLLARS! Not cents, but Dollars! Whoohoo!
- August 2009 ~ Another $28!!! A total of $41.68 now!! Oh, and I’ve built 25 more lenses too. I’m over 50 now! Next goal…to become a big Squid!
I’m excited to see what my earnings will be for next month. It just keeps getting better and better…and so are the lenses I’m building :)
Not only did I reach my goal but after building 50 lenses I learned how to do some pretty cool stuff like turning this text red :)
- September 2009 ~ My earnings that Squidoo deposited in my PayPal account for Sept was $12.43. (am I going backwards?) The earnings for this month didn’t really make sense to me because it seemed like my lenses were ranked even higher than the previous month.
- October 2009 ~ $23.27! That’s more like it
More good news is that my “15 Things To Do With A Pumpkin” lens was picked for LOTD (Lens Of The Day) on October 20th!…and it was blessed by 5 Squid Angels!! Whooohooo. Even better news….I made “Giant Squid” and received this letter from Squidoo……”We had hundreds of applications this round and really raised the bar in our search for excellence. And you didn’t just meet it; you vaulted over it. Thanks for the wonderful work, leadership, and for believing in what you can do here. What now? Well, first, celebrate and do a happy dance.” So, excuse me folks, I gotta go do my “happy dance” now. See you all next month!
- November 2009 ~ My earnings were the highest yet!
A total payout for $68.31!!! (That’s before the % was taken out for the Squidoo charities I donate to). Can you believe that I went from .68 cents to $68?! I have high hopes for next month too because next months check will be for what I earned in October…and in October my Halloween Lenses did very well in the rankings, especially my LOTD lens.
- December 2009 ~

This month’s earnings were $111.22!!!!
- HAPPY 2010!!
- January 2010 ~ My earnings this month….$75.45 Whooohooo! It’s amazing that 9 months ago, in April, my monthly earnings total was 46 cents and this month a whopping $75.45. Ok…off to spend my money shopping on Amazon now. After I do the happy dance of course :). See you all next month.
- February 2010 ~ My Feb. earnings were $83.92!!!!
Check out my new happy dance…
- March 2010 ~ $33.68
I seem to have had a dip in my earnings this month. I guess I need a few more visitors to my lenses (hint hint). Feel free to twitter this lens… or any of my other lenses :)
- April 2010 ~ $43.82
Well, this month was a little better than last :) Ok, I’ve been on Squidoo long enough and I think I should be making at least $100 or more every month. I have to invest in the time to learn how some others are making $1,000.00 a month.Oh, and I earned my “angel wings”….I’m one of Squidoo’s 15 Squid Angels now…or at least for the next 3 months. What an honor and treat it is to be chosen! Ok, off to fly around Squidoo and bless some lenses now.
- May 2010 ~ $38.83
Sorry for the late update. It’s just that I’ve been so busy flying all over Squidoo passing out Angel Blessings. All that flying, boy my arms are killing me. Ok, now for the update…After my donation to charity was subtracted, I earned $38.83. Whoohoo. I also created my 200th Squidoo lens this month! (the link is further down the lens). My 5-year goal is 1,000 lenses.
- June 2010 ~ $96.01!!!! Whooohoooo!!
About $10 of that was taken out to donate to the charities of my choice, so I really received about $86. Not bad :)Oh, and more good news is that I entered my “Tips for Preventing Children from Being Kidnapped” lens in the Squidoo “Summer Sunshine Award” contest….and it won!!! So, not only will I receive an extra $99 next month but the charity of my choice will also receive $99, which is the Polly Klaas Foundation. Thanks Squidoo!!!
Click Here to view my winning lens.
- July 2010 ~ Holy Cow!…biggest payout yet!! My total payout this month (which was actually for the month of May) was $148.62!!! After charity donations, the total amount deposited in my account was $133,66! Whoohoo!! Additionally, my Tips for Preventing Children from being Kidnapped lens won a Squidoo Sunshine Award…and I received the $99 prize this month in addition to my earnings. Squidoo also gave another $99 to the charity of my choice, which was the Polly Klaas Foundation. So, my combined earnings this month was $247.62! ($148.62 + $99.)
- Also created a few more lenses and have a total of 236 lenses now! One of my favorite “NEW” lenses is 55 Things That Make My Day. I think I’ll go update that lens now and add “getting paid from Squidoo” to the list :)
Happy Squidooing!
- August 2010 ~ $101.69 It was really a little over $114 but I have Squidoo take out a certain amount every month to donate to charity.
- September 2010 ~ $142.68!!
Holy sheep! This was my biggest payout yet! Well, I actually made more in July but that’s because I received an extra $99 for winning The Summer Sunshine award. More good news is that the more I make, the more goes to charity. Through my lenses I was able to donate another $15 this month to the charity of my choice, - Three of the charities I support through Squidoo are the Polly Klaas Foundation, Food For Everyone, and The Inner City Scholarship Foundation. Yay for charity! FYI…I now have 284 lenses AND have been chosen to be a SquidAngel for the second time, I’ve also received a bunch of blessings from other SquidAngels too. You can view them here on my Blessed by a Squid Angel lens. Ok, off to make and bless more lenses…see you all next month. Happy Squidooing
- October 2010 ~ $142.00! I made the same amount as last month. Am I on a roll or what? What I’m really shocked about is that I noticed in last month’s update I mentioned that I had 284 lenses…but now I’m at 425! I didn’t realize that I had made 141 lenses in the last month! I must have been Squidooing and making lenses in my sleep! Nobody warned me that Squidoo was addicting. I had a great Squidoo month in October. Not only did I make another 141 lenses, but my lenses ranked really well because of Halloween.
- I had over 45,000 visitors to my lenses this month! My Halloween lenses did make some money but what’s really funny is that the lens that made me the most amount this month was my Pimp My Office Cubicle lens.
- Someone bought a bunch of printers (I think 6), which resulted in $31 in sales (will be paid for that in Decemeber). I never had a sale from that lens and then all of a sudden BAM! a huge sale.Ok, are you ready for the best news of all? I put Zazzle products on my How To Grill Lobster lens and it resulted in an affiliate sale of $300!! Someone bought 106 lobster aprons.
- Yes folks, it pays to be a Zazzle affiliate and to put Zazzle products on your Squidoo lenses. If you don’t know how to do that then visit my Zazzle Affiliate lens for instructions.I also received my 4th Purple Star! This time it was for my Breast Cancer Self Examination lens. I also had 4 more people sign up for Squidoo under me

How You Can Make A Cool $1000+ A Month As An Amazon Associate

How to Make Over $1000 A Month As An Amazon Affiliate
By Erica Stone..
So, I found a niche, put up a product review site mid-April, and started writing.
I made my first sale a few weeks later.
I’m no expert, I’m always testing and learning but I’ll share what I’ve done in case it helps anyone:
For May, I had 1624 unique visitors, 311 of whom clicked over to Amazon. I had 10 sales that totaled $1366 in revenue. I was at the 6.5% payout rate (due to my other sites) so those sales earned almost $89 in commissions.
I have 41 posts on the my site (WordPress Blog) – 24 are product reviews and 17 are “informational” to the niche (what certain product terms mean and why they’re important, how to get the best deal, what to look for in “x products”, etc.).
My thought was that the informational posts would help the site stand apart from others targeting the niche who are just using Amazon product listings as their posts.
Traffic continues to climb and most of the traffic comes from “product name” searches and “product name review” searches. Here are some things that seem to be helping:
I hand write each review - no content taken verbatim from Amazon except a couple of comments from their consumer reviews.
When I mention the Amazon consumer reviews, I suggest the visitor can “read more here: (affiliate text link to Amazon review page)”.
I started by writing reviews on the bestsellers on Amazon for this group of products. There are probably a couple of hundred different versions of this product on Amazon.
Unintentionally, I chose a niche for which the products’ instruction manuals are readily available online. I started actually reading the manuals which allows the reviews to include more information than is found in the Amazon product listing or on any other site that is simply using the Amazon information.
Things like included accessories, ways to use the product, information about how it compares to competitive products. This allows for more content in general and more long-tailed keyword traffic.
I Visit the manufacturers’ sites for additional information.
I Promote the site with bookmarking, a handful of articles, a network of Squidoo lenses, and a Hubpage.
I Title each post with “Full Product Name Review”.
I Link images, text links and Amazon reviewers comments to Amazon.
I Include a “check the price” button in the post.
I also use WP-Table Reloaded to build a Comparison page of all the products for which a review has been done that can be sorted by critical product features, ratings, and price and which can also be filtered by any data in the columns.
I include the product name in the table links to my review page. The price data in the table links to Amazon.
I have created a standard format that I use for each review so they are uniform in case the visitor goes from one review to another. This way, all the same information is in the same order. (There’s probably a faster way to do this but I just copied all the necessary HTML formatting for my post layout into a draft post.
When I go to write a review, I copy the HTML from the draft into a new post and then I just have to paste in my review text, insert images, and links.)
These niches are not something I’m generally an expert in and it took me some time to research them and become familiar with the critical features of the products. At first, it took me hours to do a comprehensive review but now that I’ve done bunches of them, they’re much easier and faster to write.
My domain is a hyphenated, exact keyword match .com for a phrase that indicated people who would be shopping for these products.
The keyword has 8100 exact searches a month in Google’s Keyword tool. While I’ve optimized for that keyword phrase, it is really the specific product names that are bringing in the traffic so keyword research doesn’t take up a lot of time. Find a product, write a review.
I’m currently towards the bottom of the 1st page of Google for my keyword phrase, having passed the non-hyphenated .com and .net. Interested to see if searches for the keyword itself will bring sales or if it will continue to be the product name searches.

150+ websites making $6-$100 per day. You Can Do This Too. My Online Business Strategy
Nov 10th

Today’s Money Making Tip comes from Gary Gregory
I have been marketing online for over 3 years now quite successfully. I am also a much sought after IM consultant.
The #1 question I get from prospective clients is, “What methods would you teach me in order to make money online?”, or something of that nature.
Although I teach several methods to generate different income streams, my favorite method involves simple website creation using WordPress in conjunction with affiliate marketing to monetize.
My methods aren’t anything new, but over the last several years I have perfected it in such a way as to maximize the benefits regarding organic search engine traffic and high conversions.
It’s not uncommon for my sites to get 5000+ hits per month! And it’s all free traffic!
I currently have 150+ websites that are making anywhere from $6 to $100 per day, I have about 4 that do $100 a day, the rest are all over the board.
Anyway… I wanted to share my basic business model here…
First and most importantly, the general idea is to produce a mini-authority website of 20+ pages that is optimized for 20+ keywords (including your main page and domain name keyword.)
The websites will have the pages listed on the left hand side of the site and all will link to internal pages. Each of the pages are, in and of themselves, researched keywords that will rank on the first page of the search engines and each garnish it’s own share of organic traffic.
First you find a niche.
Then you start doing the keyword research.
The main keyword (for the main page as well as your domain name) needs to be relatively general.
Example:
Niche – Tattoos
Main Page (and domain name) Keyword – Masculine Tattoos
Internal Pages “Alternate Keywords” (listed on the left hand side of the website) – Tribal Arm Tattoos, Back Tattoos, Rib Tattoos, etc.
Using your favorite keyword research tool, the keywords MUST have at least 800 searches per month (exact match) and have manageable competition within the search engines. Let’s just say 30,000 results or less (in Google) when searched for in quotes.
I build websites using WordPress (WordPress.org.) I do this because quite simply, it’s easier than building a static web page and it’s much simpler to teach as well as implement.
When I build a site, I use a theme that has a left column sidebar and set it up to look like a regular website as opposed to a blog. For example, I take out page tabs, any unnecessary widgets, etc.
I then create a page to use as my main page (utilizing an already researched keyword that I will also use as my domain name.)
I go into the dashboard of the blog and under “Settings”, I choose “Reading.” Then I pick the page I just created to be a “static page” and my front page.
This allows a single post or page to be displayed as opposed to many posts like a blog has.
As you find your keywords, you will then create pages that will be clickable links using anchor text HTML within text widgets to be placed in the left sidebar of the site.
Once you create your site, you should have a very clean and basic website that has 20+ pages of content, that is linked to with keyword links on the left hand side of the page that are visible to your visitor no matter what page they happen to be visiting on your site.
All my websites are ranked #1 through #5 for all their target keywords (pages included.) 85%+ of my traffic comes directly from Google. The rest comes from people and or online entities who have linked to my sites.
My Website Qualities:
* They all target 5-10 different products per site.
* I recommend both informational products (ex: ClickBank products), and physical products (ex: Amazon, E-bay.) There are pros and cons for each. Informational products require more of a pre-sell, so in order to be more persuasive, your content needs to be at least 500 to 750 words per page. Physical products (tangible items) are great because you don’t have to say as much and the competition is usually more manageable.
In building these sites, my goal is to be #1 in Google. In fact the power of this system is that all of the pages within your site have the ability to be #1 in Google, so you can only imagine what type of traffic and conversions that brings with it.
*Note – When done properly, 10% or more of your pages will rank on the first page of Google without you doing anything extra at all. I have found however, to get to #1 for everything, backlinking is key.
In the beginning, I wrote all of the content for my sites, and my backlinking (if needed.) At this point, I outsource almost all of my work in order to spend more time driving my businesses forward.
My online business strategy is an awesome business model that really works (To the tune of six figures annually for me.)
One great thing about this model, is that for the cost of one domain name (usually about $10 per year), and the cost of hosting (roughly $14 per month), you can set this business up.
*Note – Get a hosting company that allows unlimited sub-domains so that you can build more sites by just buying more domain names only.
Unless you pay for outsourcing, those are your only costs besides your time investment.
The sky is the limit!

What’s Green & Slimey & Can Make You Money? – SQUIDOO!
Nov 5th
Most GREEN & Slimey things in this life are, WELL – just downright unpleasant, and usually reside in unthinkable places..
However – here is one hell of a Jolly, GREEN GIANT of an Opportunity to make a whole RACK of CASH from…. yes, you guessed it – Squidoo, that slimey SQUID. And whether you DO Squidoo or you Don’t… here is an opportunity for YOU… read on
With Squidoo, you are building a LENS!.. This lens is like a PAGE, but it is a work in progress. In other words you keep adding different components (modules) to your page, and it will constantly evolve into a much bigger picture. It’s more like you are creating a Book or a Story than just adding a piece of content and that’s that.
For instance, firstly, you would add a detailed bio about yourself. You find a clicky title for your new lens (page), and then you start building content. That could could be adding your latest Article or Blog post, or creating new content, and then you add more and more content and so on. Every time you add to your lens, you are adding more modules to your lens. You can start and have as many lenses as you want, you can have lenses on any theme or Niche.. Let’s say your first lens Niche is Internet Marketing.
You simply add your Internet Marketing lens, you build it up daily and keep continually building – and let’s say then that you want to start an MLM based lens, you then start a completely different lens on MLM and keep building this theme up by adding new modules, you can then you can add another and another. just Rinse & Repeat..
Squidoo gives you the opportunity to build an Online Information Empire for FREE… but wait, here is the best part.
You can monetise all of this content: Squidoo supply many ways that you can monetise your own lens. You can choose to include Amazon & eBay product links if you want. When people click on these offers and purchase something from either Amazon or eBay via your link, you will get a commission. You can be paid direct to your Paypal account, or you can choose to donate all or part of you income to charity.
The more people who interact with your lenses, the more people, will click on the strategically placed offers around your lens – and the MORE money YOU will make…
Also, the more modules (components) you add, the more products from Amazon, eBay, Cafe Press etc you can choose to appear on your lens..
It’s a WIN, WIN situation. The more you add, the more interest in your content you are going to get, the more monetization opportunities you have and the more money you will make.. some people who have many lenses are making a lot of money from doing this…
Here is my first lens, as you can see – I’ve based it around my Blog theme which is about Making Money – Squidoo Lens
You can also earn Squidoo points, the more active you are, the more Squidoo points you earn. Here is Squidoo’s own definition of points – “The more points you earn, the higher you level up, the more items you unlock. Some items are extra tools for your lenses, others are opportunities for exposure, others are monsterquests for awards, others are just for a guffaw. Maybe a chortle”
So there you have it, my take on it is that this could be a very SERIOUS Marketing tool for you and your business… plus it can earn you, not only some serious recognition, but also a nice income … Do you Squidoo? – Definitely
All the best

How A Dumb Ass Musician Finally Hit The Right Note To Make Money In Internet Marketing
Nov 3rd
Today’s Money Making Tip comes from Glen Kirkham
The last time I posted, (maybe 6 months ago), I was literally broke to the point of eviction, pulling my hair out with frustration & just a ball of sheer unhappiness. I wanted to return to posting, after turning years of frustration into money online….. I wanted to share with anyone not making money online, my experience on this epic journey.
Now 6 months down the line, I have a business which creates income absolutely passively (I still pay for outsourcing), I make more money per day from the web than I used to make in a week at my job and I have found time to dedicate to my family and my passion… music and travel.
I want to share with you some rules which have allowed me to become (cue the cliche) “Financially Free”
** RULE 1 **
Stick To One Thing
My habit was clear, I would come on the Warrior Forum, browse around for a few hours per day, reply to posts and really get involved in the community… Never however would I actually do anything with respect to marketing or creating a business online.
The day I started on the road to a ‘severe’ amount of money compared to what I was used to, was the day I stopped wasting time ‘gaining knowledge’, preparing my Arsenal for battle and waiting for the lights to turn green.
I started using Facebook because I heard there was money to be made on social networks and I just started marketing on there and creating landing pages to drive people to…
Here’s the key:
When I wasn’t making any money, I didn’t stop to find something new… I kept on.
Now, a lot of people will say “you need to know when to stop”, “You need to know when to realise things aren’t working”, and I went a good 4 months earning NOTHING… But I noticed something was happening….
** RULE 2 **
Expose And Build Upon Patterns
So I noticed that on facebook and on my landing pages I was getting a certain amount of leads and prospects from certain marketing compared to other places I market to.
Let me be more specific
If I was in the ‘guitar playing’ niche and I was marketing to all sorts of different guitar players, I may notice that, for example, I was getting more leads from people wanting to know how to play electric guitar, or wanting to know about chords as opposed to lead guitar.
The point is, if you can spot a trend in your market, you MUST follow the pattern and pursue where people’s interests, and eventually, the money lies.
** RULE 3 **
Internet Marketing Is a numbers Game, I don’t know if you heard me….Internet Marketing Is a numbers Game. Don’t read past this in a hurry…. meditate upon it Internet Marketing Is a numbers Game.
For those of you at the back… This is important. Internet Marketing Is a numbers Game. Once you make a dollar online, there is proof that you are doing something right. Now here’s what happened first time I had a go at IM….
I would start something for as cheaply as possible i.e. make the sites myself, make the graphics myself etc etc and once it made a few dollars, BUT, money didn’t come in straight after, so I gave up, came back to the Warrior Forum and tried something else…
Here’s where the numbers game comes into it.Imagine that your investment into making the foundation was 12 hours (making sites, uploading, FTP, photoshop). And you spend 10 hours marketing (articles, seo, linking etc etc) Forget the 12 hours, that is your investment into your belief in the project…. We have to sow some seeds.. right ?
Now work out how much you made for that 10 hours, usually it won’t be that much… Find out how many people saw your offer, how many people opted in, and how many people bought your offer (Use google analytics for this monitoring).
The game is now to ‘split test’ different ways of advertising and marketing. Change your graphics, change your headlines, change your text…. change everything, one at a time, and monitor what works….
If a headline change brings you a 0.3% increase in optins, Great! use that headline, make another 6 like it and fight them all of against each other…. If you can turn a measly 5% optin into a 38% optin, you will turn your system from a $10,000 machine into an $80,000 machine.
Don’t overlook this… These little numbers matter a great deal !
** RULE 4 **
Don’t Be Afraid To Spend Some Money Okay, this is a biggey… When we start off online, like we mentioned in the previous rule, we try and do everything ourselves.
I’m an idiot musician and yet I sat down and learned html, flash, wordpress, photoshop and lots of stuff I would probably never really need to use hands on, had I focused on building my business rather than working in it
It took me a while to get comfortable with paying money for services online. I didn’t have a massive amount, really, but I began to realise that I need to make an investment into myself and my money making vehicle. I started hiring some staff (which is probably the scariest part of my business life) for only $2 per hour (overseas workers) to work for me on menial tasks.
Once I took the leap and realised that it took someone else 5 minutes to do what used to take me 4 hours, my focus became less about what I can do, and more about how I can manage a team to do these things better, quicker!
When you start running a successful business, you realise that your time is the most valuable asset you own, and your time is best spent BUILDING your business, not copying and pasting meta tag data into your tags….Seriously, let other people do the dirty work…. They’re probably better at it than you are !
I personally use odesk.com for my team of employees, they are amazing people and are an amazing privilege and asset to my company.
** RULE 5 **
THIS AIN’T EASY !
Ok, so we all want the sit on a beach while your ‘passive’ company makes you money thing right ? It’s possible… I’ve just come back from touring around Switzerland with my band for a week and I came home to nearly $3,600 in my Clickbank account… Awesome right ?
The thing is, that Clickbank picture wont tell you the hundreds, if not thousands of hours I’ve spent actually setting this system up. It won’t show you the MANY times this system has broken down and cost me money before it began sailing on it’s own.
You won’t be told how many times I’ve failed trying to create online companies and now seem to be able to do it at will, I don’t say this to gloat, genuinely, I say it because this reward of persistence has allowed me to create a life of abundance. ANYTHING is possible, You can have this online dream… The traffic is there, the products are there, the people and the infrastructure are there for you to succeed online but you have to Stick with it.
IM will throw you some curveballs, your eyes will be bleeding at 5am trying to get it right, but in the long term… ALL is worth it… Enjoy the journey !
Remember
Stick To One Thing
Expose And Build Upon Patterns
Internet Marketing Is a numbers Game
Don’t Be Afraid To Spend Some Money
THIS AIN’T EASY !
I genuinely wish you all the best on your journey, it was the best I’ve ever been on.
Many Thanks
Glen K
