This is a short story about how a Free eBook started me on a trail of ideas which led me to creating this Website.
You see, I really believe that the reason people don’t make any money, is because, they just don’t get started.

Design a Website? – How about designing your LIFE!
WHO ME ??, “You must be joking – is this you ?. This was me a few weeks ago. It used to be considered difficult to design web pages, people had to know HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) and if you didn’t have a degree in web design then it was either spend hours poring over books or just plain give up..
This has all changed, Web 2 has arrived and everything has got faster, slicker and much easier, now – website design has got cheaper and cheaper and one reason for this is because the market is much more competitive and a lot of people are designing and building their own sites
Now whether you want to build your own fan website or to build a site to make money, never has their been a better time to get cracking in this fun and possibly lucrative pass-time.
We all want to show off to the world – right ? maybe our online skills, our cool photo’s, our video’s, our articles and stuff, where better to display what you do or what you know, than on your own website.
Now I have to be honest, when it comes to design, I cringe at the word, as my design skills are practically zero, but even I can make great looking web pages designed to THRILL!! simply by following a few steps.
I am definitely not a natural at this, but it all begins with baby steps……….
If you have no idea what ftp is or http or html is, don’t worry you soon will.
Now I use a little free html editor called “Komposer” this handy tool is what I design my web pages in – you can write text, import photo’s and even upload everything (barring e-books) to the web all in a few strokes, so your first task is to download Komposer.
Next you will need a domain name – this is the web address your website sits on – you can get one fairly cheaply from Go Daddy for a yearly fee of about $10., make the domain name relevant to what your website is going to be about, only get a .com as it’s still the most recognised domain ending in the entire universe.
You will also need a hosting account – Hostgator is good, as you can host unlimited web pages for about $10 a month. A hosting account is necessary as you will be renting space (like real estate) to park your website on.
Now, do you want to make money with this site ? if you want to make money, you are going to need to create your own list and you will need to send emails to your list of prospects using an autoresponder, an autoresponder is a piece of software that lets you submit emails to your potential customers in sequence, all on auto pilot – I can recommend Aweber, this is the same one as I use myself.
Now you will need to learn how to put this all together to make it work, and BOY.. will it work, that is more than I can do in such a short article like this – I have a FREE 125 page eBook for you about creating your own website, in a short time, to start you off on hte road to making money. How to Get a FLOOD of FREE TrafficTo Your Website or Blog!

How can we get FREE traffic to our website or blog 24/7 is something we all want to know – let’s be honest, traffic equals customers which equals MONEY!, no traffic, no customers, it’s as simple as that – if you don’t have enough traffic – GOODBYE business
No 1 Traffic Tip – the email signature
Email signatures are extremely easy to do but also very effective – you would be surprised at how many people do not have an email signature.
Think how many people you email each day?
By adding a SIMPLE – but effective couple of lines to the bottom of each email you can work wonders in getting your message across to your respondents They will read your email then either choose to click on your signature link to your website, or ignore it
It’s SO, SO simple, you can get your 2 or 3 line message across to anyone you email – FREE!
Think of a couple of lines for your sales message, perhaps a FREE eBook – How to get loads of FREE Traffic – Grab yours NOW!!, then on the next line set up a link to your website – this is easy to do, you go into your email program.
Select tools, select options, and then select signature (options may vary with different email programs)’ now either add the URL (address) to your website or in some email programs the editor will allow you to do a clickable link (hyperlink)
There you go – you’ve now created your email signature for the entire world to see (well, your contacts anyway) all free, but very, very effective.
No 2 Traffic Tip , on how to get free traffic to your website or blog is Forum Marketing.
This is an absolute favourite of mine – OK, it may take a while to get a lot of traffic but this can keep traffic coming for years to come.
I simply join good forums in my niche, not just any old forum, you want to join forums with plenty of people in them, and I would say if you wanted a number – 20,000 people or more.
Now don’t go in and start spouting about your website or new super product straight away, it wont work and will just get you a reputation as a spammer – you need to ease yourself in gently and offer value to the forum.
In your forum profile you have a chance to tell them all about yourself, and you add a nice photo so they can see you are human… and you also add a signature, this will be seen at the bottom of your post, so go ahead, answer some questions, start some interesting topics,
Offer value by giving people good information – add great value information to the forum and people will respond by reading your posts and your signature at the bottom of each one.
Traffic Tip 3, Blog posting – is to subscribe to as many high traffic blogs in your niche as you can, and then reply to the posts with good sound advice – this in turn will allow you to include your website URL, which people will click on to go to your site, now you are creating links back to you & your website or squeeze page or even your blog.
When you respond to questions or posts on blogs, don’t just say, “good advice” or “thanks for the info”, write some detailed & useful information that other people will find interesting, people pass these articles & replies on all the time, if you offer good information, people will respond positively with an interest in you and what you are doing

Is your BLOG asleep, or has it PASSED on to that great Blogspot in the sky?
A dead blog is one that doesn’t receive much traffic or comments… So are you actively promoting it by getting traffic to it and encouraging comments?
Comments (as of course, is traffic) are extremely important, to give your blog a “looked at” look. Blogs without comments tend to look like no one visits them.
It’s a bit like when you visit the shopping mall and you see a shop that doesn’t have any customers. Human nature is such, that people tend to avoid the store as no one else seems interested, whereby for all we know, it could be a brilliant store.
Social proof drives traffic to our Blogs, Websites & Videos – if other people appear to “like” them, then more people are drawn towards them as they appear to register as “OK” .
We do this in all walks of life and your BLOG is no exception.
So how do we get comments by the bucket load ?
Firstly, I would suggest you actively comment on other blogs in your niche. The higher up in the google rankings, the blogs you choose to comment on are – the higher quality the backlink is to your site. But this post is not about backlinks, its about getting comments, however backlinks are a valuable by-product of getting comments.
1) Organise a comment group, through Facebook – create a special page for FANS with blogs in your niche who all want comments on their blogs.. SWAP Comments on each others blogs.
2) Simply – ask for comments. Use your wall in Facebook or your Twitter account to post – What do you think of this? I would love your opinion, please post your comment on my Blog
3) Go on to DIGG look for a front page story in your niche and be the first to post a comment linking back to you. If you are at or near the top in the comments list, more people will bother to read your comment – what you do is first comment on the story, then sign off with a question relating to your blog post – and ask for a comment, it’s as simple as that, ask for comments and some people will.
Here’s an example: This Digg front page story today is about eBay, from the Huffington Post – it is currently being DUGG on DIGG with 261 DIGGS and 67 comments, hence it’s front page position today. I have simply added a comment and linked back to this site. Now they don’t allow HTML but they do allow a website URL, which is click-able if you include the http://www.
4) You can BUY comments on Fiverr. I make no secret what I think about this site – to be able to outsource things for $5 is absolutely brilliant – to get comments for $5 is a great idea, once people see OTHER people commenting on your blog, this will draw comments from other people.
There you have it – get the comments coming, make your blog look like it’s alive, even give it a makeover if it’s looking a bit STALE… use the tecniques we have spoken about in previous posts to start getting targeted traffic to your blog. Your blog is your own piece of Internet Real Estate, look after it – Monetise it properly, keep the content FRESH & Interesting and your Blog will be your online friend and Money Machine for years to come….

How to get ANY website Highly Ranked on GOOGLE, without being an SEO expert…

The main problem people have with regards to making money online, is quite simply – they don’t ever get enough TRAFFIC to their Websites – not enough people ever get to see their offers, hence they always experience mediocre results… perhaps, a handful of sales here and there.
It’s no use having a wonderful Website, with a wonderful offer, at a wonderful price if hardly anyone gets to see it.
A lot of website owners spend a lot of time adding good content to their sites (which is good), to make them interesting and attractive to viewers, but spend virtually NO time at all ,getting the most important component – TRAFFIC..
We are kind of led to believe that site OPTIMISATION (SEO) is best left to the “experts” and would be too time – consuming, too technical or too expensive if we attempted to do it ourselves…
I first realised that this was all a bit of a HOAX really – There are some very good site optimisation experts out there, but unless you have money to burn, you can do a good job yourself without getting caught up in the technical side of it.
I knew very little about getting traffic at first – I still knew a great deal more though than the guy who was building my Websites. In fact, his knowledge of getting traffic was solely – FREE web submissions.
This is where you submit your site to a handful of online search engines for free in the hope that your site gets enough coverage to EARN some real,sort of web presence.
We have never had so many ways to get our Websites seen and bombarded with traffic, than we have today. You do not need to pay an SEO expert hundreds, if not thousands of Pounds or Dollars to do this.
Ok, lets take this step by step:
Our aim is to get our site seen by the MASSES, which would mean, greater numbers viewing our site, this should mean MORE people will end up doing something, i.e joining our Opt – In list or directly BUYING our products.
OK, how can we do this, obviously the list of ideas on getting more traffic can be huge and couldn’t all be covered in this one article but here is a LINKED strategy which can be used to good effect and could quite easily get you on the front page of Google for your specific Keywords related to your Website & Niche.
Keywords can be singular or they can contain several words – this is not Double Dutch, this is just how it is – A Keyword that contains four words is still a keyword, it is not know as “keywords”, it is just known as a long tail keyword. i.e “Make Money From Home” is a long tail keyword, containing four words.
Why do we have long tail keywords? simply because short tail keywords such as “Make Money” are highly sought after keywords, and the competition is vast, hence the chances of you getting to page 1 on Google with a short tail keyword are fairly limited – not impossible but fairly limited.
Trish Mullen did an excellent video on how to choose the right keywords for your domain name (website address).
Ok, so lets assume you have gone on to Google and you have searched for their Keyword tool, appropriately known as the “Google Keyword Tool” , you add your keywords or phrases you think are suitable for your niche, and the tool will show you how many online searches Google has received for your particular keywords, lets say you are using our example keywords -”Make Money From Home” – today I can see, this keyword had 15,000 searches in the last month, now this article is not intended as a step by step guide on how to find acceptable keywords – we cetainly don’t have the space here to do this, but with a little research, you can learn how to do this. For the purposes of today’s article, we shall accept, “Make money From Home” as our chosen longtail keyword.
OK, so next we choose our keyword rich domain for our Website (if you don’t already have one) – now, don’t you think, it should contain the phrase “Make Money From Home”,perhaps within the title ? – Sure, OK, lets see what is available today on GoDaddy.
The only domain I can see today worth considering is freemakemoneyfromhome.com, I always prefer a .com as even if you choose a .co.uk etc, people seem to automatically type in .com.
Now again – this is an example only, this is purely to emphasise the importance of having a keyword rich domain, so Google picks it up and hopefully ranks it nearer the front in the Google rankings, now imagine if your domain was something like makemoneywithhildabloggs.com, although it has the keyword “Make Money”, in the domain, this is a very competitive keyword and it would take a lot of SEO to get this baby to the forefront on Google.
As I said, this in not an article on Keywords…
OK, so now we have our keyword rich domain.. how do we get our website to hopefully appear on page 1 at Google?
What I would do is Take a Keyword rich title like, “How to MAKE MONEY FROM HOME – wearing nothing but your underwear” for example and I would write an article on this subject and place it on my Blog or Website. Then I would send the same article to Ezine Articles. with of course, a link back to my Website, plus dont forget to include a link in your bio (author) box.
Now Google, loves this site – not only because it is probably the BEST Article site on the Internet, but because it has so many varied, quality articles, and Google loves quality content. This is a very POWERFUL link to your site, getting articles published here will really do wonders for getting more TRAFFIC to YOU..
You can also send your article to hundreds of other FREE article sites – this is very time consuming, however there are automated ways of doing this.
OK, so we now have, a keyword rich domain name for our website. we have a Keyword rich article, on our Website or Blog – the same Keyword rich article published by Ezine Articles…. and now! We make a FREE 30 second video explaining our article on Animoto with, wait for it – the same keyword rich title as our article, linking back to our Website or Blog
We then upload this video to YouTube and there we have it.
This way of getting your Website seen by hundreds, if not thousands of people has not cost you anything, except a little time
Can you see what we are doing here – we are forming a circle of keyword rich ways, all linked together to rank your Website or Blog higher in the Google rankings, Google loves content rich Websites, by using quality content, linked to good keywords and supported by keyword rich titled videos (Google loves video), you are making it almost IMPOSSIBLE to not get higher rankings.. who knows, your Website could soon be sitting on Page 1 of Google.
I hope you have enjoyed today’s tip - I could probably write a whole book just on this subject alone, but it gives you an outline of how to get more traffic to your site.

How to make a TON of Money from writing a KILLER Blog!

Do you remember when a blog was just a WEBLOG?… when it was a daily account of the life & times of, eh – YOU?
Ah,then good old Web 2.0 came along (new & advanced Internet technologies, being distributed by new & interactive ways – i.e through social networks & other content shareable methods).
NOW – all of a sudden BLOGGING just got SEXY!
People love to blog, and blogging can equal = BIG BUCKS.
Some marketers are making huge amounts of money from BLOGS…
Now we have the era of the new SUPER BLOG… a typical super blog will be, UPDATED daily with interesting & useful content ,carry interesting videos either with you in it to personalise your blog more, or just video that enhances the quality of content on your site, you can also add your FACEBOOK feeds (i.e feeds from your wall showing either your Facebook posts (or your friends posts).
You can now add plugins which will enable even your TWITTER posts to be shown, just about anything and everything can now be placed on your blog to make it an interesting & enjoyable experience for your readers.
Make your blog WORTH coming back to each day….
OK, I promised you a TON of money from your blog, so here, in short is a formula for blogging SUCCESS….
Step 1
- Make your content so IRRESISTABLE that people will be BEGGING you for MORE!
- Give people something NEW – each and every day
- Write about subjects that people actually WANT to read about
- Encourage interactivity (is that a real word ? ) i.e encourage people to RESPOND and/or SHARE your content
Step 2
- GRAB your blog visitor’s, name & email address via your opt in form – this way you can continue to build a relationship with them, and offer them your products
- Use Google Adsense ads to your blog and be paid for your visitors clicks on those ads
- Use Clickbank affiliate product ads and receive 50% commission or more on products purchased through those links
- Place links from your blog to your OWN Websites & increase traffic to them
- Create a seperate page on your blog for your BEST offer or product
- Create links within your posts directing the reader back to YOUR website.
- Organise competitions in return for your reader’s email address – offer them your very best product as a prize…
Their are hundreds of ways of making money from blogs… too many to list them all here but you get the general idea…
So what are you waiting for… I recommend you choose a blog from WordPress, with WordPress you can add plugins (functionality) and WordPress have thousands of different themes you can add, to make your blog look very professional.
Also, more importantly – if you make your blog through WordPress.org instead of WordPress.com, you can host the blog with your own hosting company and use your own domain, instead of a domain name that you will never own, with the WordPress name in it.
This is so important if you are serious about blogging..
If your blog is successful and you are able to drive to drive thousands of hungry visitors daily – you may eventually want to SELL your blog..
