As with any Internet Marketing Business, focus is essential. However this is probably one of THE major things that cause people the most headaches.
Are you trying to do everything all at once? Let’s be honest, it’s very easy to get distracted and lose focus. Probably all of my Internet Marketing colleagues have at sometime lost their focus. What we all need to do is concentrate on one thing at a time and do that well.
Internet Marketing Business – Clear The Clutter
The trouble with any Internet Marketing business is that we simply have too much information. On the one hand, this is a good thing, as we have more than enough free information out there to help us be successful online.
On the downside though, too much of anything can be bad for you. This applies to information as much as it does anything else.
If we could only focus on just one thing at a time and do related things to make that one thing work well, then we can really start to make progress. Internet Marketing is a huge subject and is made up of many, many components. Fortunately to be successful, we don’t have to learn and do all of them at the same time.
In itself, Internet Marketing is not a niche, but a combination of many ways to attract traffic and sell products and services in your niche. We tend to allow it to confuse us into thinking that as Internet Marketers we need to learn the whole thing, and NOW..This is simply not true as many of the shiny objects out there are not required, at least not now anyway and perhaps they never will be. We spend out time wasting money but even more importantly, we spend out time wasting time.
Concentrate on one thing, learn to do it well before moving on to the next thing. As with most things in life, you need a plan. Make it your plan to find something you like to do, learn it well, then build the core of your business around that one thing.
Internet Marketing Business – How To Grow Your Business Fast
Position yourself as an expert. This is impossible, if you are a “jack of all trades” and master of none. Learn one aspect of your niche, learn how to get eyeballs (traffic) to your offer, see your business grow, then build a product around what you have now discovered. Here is what I personally do.
I learn all aspects of a topic within my niche. I then write about it, I position myself as an expert, then I create a product about it then I personally coach people about it. It doesn’t always appear in this order, sometimes I’ll learn it then coach it and then make a product about it. But I think you get where I’m coming from.
The Internet Marketing Business is one of constant wonder, but also one of constant frustration if you keep doing everything at once. Now is the time to develop laser like focus and focus on one thing.
All the best
