Part 2 ~ Automate Twitter to Send Hundreds of NEW Friends To Your Facebook Account
Sep 12th
Hi Everyone
This is the second part of yesterday’s tip, “Automate Twitter to Send Hundreds of NEW Friends To Your Facebook Account”
Before I explain the “Meat & Potatoes” of how to do this. We are going to concentrate on Twitter for a moment, now some people do not particularly like Twitter as it is viewed as being somewhat impersonal to use unlike Social Networking sites such as, Facebook.
Twitter tends to be more of a message sharing system really, rather than a true Social platform – unfortunately people on Twitter don’t tend to interact much, my Twitter Newsfeed, is more like a continuous feed of spammy links interspersed with the occasional piece of interesting news.
I can’t say I actually know, more than a handful of my Twitter followers. I’m not blaming them, I’m blaming me, as I should message them more and get to know them. By getting them on to Facebook, in my opinion, we have a better platform in which to do this.
So what we are going to be doing here, is to take as many of our followers from Twitter as possible, and turn them into our Facebook friends.
This gives us the chance to interact with them properly, and to cultivate better relationships - this will then lead to better networking opportunities with people we probably would never have got to know very well at all.
OK, so we have our Twitter account all set up an running, we also have our Facebook account open.
Now we need to get our free Social Oomph account up and running – log in and do the following:
There are a lot more features in Social Oomph I am explaining here today. Because, to go into all of the features on Social Oomph is beyond
the scope of this tip today. It would take a complete article just to explain all of the other great features of the Social Oomph application.
Social Oomph will allow you to do some very Cool stuff like integrate your blog posts to your social networks automatically, follow back your twitter followers automatically etc, etc.
You could if you wanted, also upgrade to the Pro version, this has many more great features. But to be truthful – I prefer FREE… it’s Cheaper! (lol)
For the purpose of today’s tip we are going to be using the feature “Direct Messages”. Once you have logged in to your account, you will see this on the opening page of your “back office”, – it is situated half way down on the left hand side of the page, in the blue – shaded panelling.
Click on “Direct Messages”
Once you have added your Twitter account/s to Social Oomph, you are now able to direct message all your followers – you can also do this directly through your Twitter account but unless you automate this, it can take forever to reach ALL of them.
However with Social Oomph, you are able to send a fully automated message to every single one of your Twitter followers. AND to any followers you have from now on. – ALL on AUTO PILOT.
What I do is INVITE my Twitter followers to join me as a friend on Facebook. This way, I can get to know them properly and interact with them.
You are now going to add your personal direct message, here is what you do. Go to “Direct Message ” then, ” Schedule New DM”
This is the message I use:
Let’s be friends on Facebook. I love connecting with interesting people ~ Keith http://www.facebook.com/keith.everett now, you direct message to them will not have a clickable hyperlink like above in it, at present the Twitter DM feature doesn’t allow for that, however if the want to be friends with you, they should cut an paste the link intot their browser. You could add a note to the message, to expalin this.
You see – it’s a bit hard to say NO to that request, isn’t it? – who doesn’t want to be considered “interesting” ?
Now once you have sent this message through social Oomph to all your followers (don’t worry if you don’t have any yet)
you will then be able to set it up to automatically – to send the message out to all your NEW followers as well, using the automation menu.
Here is a great tutorial to show you how to do this, step by step
Hence, a lot of your Twitter followers will become your Facebook friends. All on Auto Pilot.
If you then click on “Social Accounts” in the left hand panel, then “Automation Stats” you can see exactly how many Followers
are getting your message.
I hope you have enjoyed this tip, please do feel free to comment & share, this is what Social Networking is all about. – all comments are welcome, good or bad.
Or why not share it with your friends & fellow Networkers on your Social Network site through our “Share the Knowledge” feature at the top & bottom of this Article.
I have another great tip for you tomorrow – I look forward to sharing it with you.
See you then
Keith

Part 1 ~ Automate Twitter to Send Hundreds of NEW Friends To Your Facebook Account
Sep 11th
OK Everyone – so here is the plan!
Today’s tip is in two parts. Part One is about setting up a Twitter & Facebook account.
Part two will appear here Sunday. I wanted to break it up a bit as it contains a lot of information.
Today, we will deal with the basics – tomorrow, we will deal with some general SNEAKY but wonderful way of getting lots & lots of Facebook friends, off the back of your Twitter account. It is much more beneficial to you to get Twitter friends to join you on Facebook, as people do not interact much on Twitter, apart from sending and receiving Tweets..
Facebook is a much different platform. It allows us to interact more with our friends and their friends, hence multiplying our marketing efforts, whereas Twitter has much less opportunities to do this.
Here goes ! If you don’t already have a Twitter account – You can get one here
If you haven’t already done so, you will need a Facebook account – You can get one here
We are also going to need to join Social Oomph , this is also Free.
Once you have your Twitter account up and running, and you have put some information about you on your profile, what you do etc – put a nice picture of you on your profile and include your URL to your Squeeze page, or Website or Blog.
We will be using Twitter and Facebook to grow our list, so whatever URL you put on your profile, it should point somewhere where you have an opt – in form.
But first thing’s first, we a now ready to get some friends. The way we do this is to FOLLOW other people.
Now we don’t just want anyone as our friends, remember – we are doing this so we can get followers, friends who may at some stage be interested in our offers. To do this we need to target people who are interested in our Niche. Now if your Niche is Internet Marketing, we want people who are interested in Internet Marketing.
How do we do this ?
Quite simply, we use the Twitter search facility located on the right hand panel of your “feed”. We are going to search the keyword “Internet Marketing”
This will bring up the “current feed” of Tweets from people who are talking about Internet Marketing. We can now click on the profile picture of the Tweet sender and this will send us to that person’s page. Now we can see how many people they are following and how many people are actually following them.
What we are looking for are Internet Marketing LEADERS, people who seem to be accomplished at what they do but we are not going to follow them, we are going to follow people who NEED our products, we are going to follow, the followers of the EXPERT. – These are people who tend to have a large following. We are going to target their followers.
Now by following people on Twitter, it is not a guarantee that they may choose to follow you. In fact, there will probably always be a 10 – 20% difference in the amount of people you choose to follow, to the amount of people actually following who you. You will nearly always follow more people than you have following you. This is OK- this keeps Twitter happy, I will explain this in more detail in Part 2.
So we have our Twitter account set up and we are now targeting people who like or who talk about Internet Marketing – to be our friends.
Next we go to Facebook. We set up our account and we put a nice picture on our profile, preferably one of you smiling. Now you can either place a picture of just you or you and your partner.
Make it a happy smiling one if possible as you will want to add value to your visitors experience, and a miserable face with tombstone black teeth just doesn’t cut it much in the dizzy world of Internet Marketing (lol)..people want to be friends with happy, positive people.,
Having an attractive personality says a lot about you to prospective friends. Attraction marketing is THE big thing now and it’s all about interacting with your prospects, sharing information with them and getting to know them properly.
OK, so in the box below your profile picture, we introduce a very short bio about what we do, perhaps something like this – this is my short bio:
“I will show YOU how to Succeed in making all the Money, you could possibly ever want!”. I then follow it with a link to my squeeze page.
You don’t need to say a lot here as you have lots of chances to tell everyone about you, and what you are like in your actual profile. Use your profile space wisely, if you are in the Internet Marketing Business, or any business and you are trying to attract friends who may be prospects for your business.
People can see your photos, they can see your videos and comments so if you are using Facebook for professional purposes, it’s best to keep it professional. First impressions are so important., It’s great to showoff your family pictures, but if you have any embarrassing pictures on your profile, it might be worth taking these off
Today’s tip is in two parts, in part 2 tomorrow, I will be showing you how to automate your Twitter account so that you can get hundreds, if not thousands of friends very quickly, mainly on Auto Pilot – who will then be waiting anxiously to be accepted by you as a friend on Facebook.
I hope you have enjoyed Part One of this tip – Part two is on Sunday. See you then!
Keith
