Why TWITTER Is Like Marmite & How You Simply Cannot Resist Reading THIS!

Aaaah GOTCHA!… You simply HAD to read this post DIDN’T YOU?
Was it the HEADLINE?
Well, TWITTER, it’s a bit like MARMITE.. you either love it or you hate it, BUT the one thing that you cannot ignore is those 32 million delicious users on Twitter – So SPREAD THAT on toast!
Twitter can be a great tool to add to your social media marketing, if used correctly.
Here are three ways to make your TWEETS stand out..
1) You need a COMPELLING Headline to your Tweets.. otherwise, people will simply pass you by.
2) There is very little room for copy. If the headline is compelling enough, just give the call to action, i.e tell people what you want them to do.
3) You will need the two MAGIC Words… What are they? I will tell you these in a minute.
4) Keep people GUESSING.. see what I did there ? you really want to know what those two words are, RIGHT?
OK? read on:

Twitter, when used properly can be a an absolute GOLDMINE. I personally use Twitter several times a day to get more people to opt in to my List, visit my blog. watch my videos or go to my Facebook fan page.etc, etc.. and you can too, with a few SPECIAL techniques which I am about to show you.
Sell the Sizzle – Not The Sausage
You sell the SIZZLE? not the Sausage?. In other words the opening line should be whatever is “The MAIN benefit to THEM” – NOT what the product actually IS….. We all like messages that promise to make our lives a whole lot better RIGHT?… you only have 140 characters in which to do this.
So within those 140 characters, we first need a Compelling headline, if your headline is SHORT Punchy and to the point, you may not need any other copy at all – just the call to ACTION… keep it short. Remember – It’s ALL about THEM.. it’s not about YOU, or what your product IS..
Then we add the two MAGIC Words..
The Retweet
When sending a TWEET on Twitter, most people will use up the entire 140 characters when doing so. This is natural as you feel like you want to CRAM in as much about your offer as possible.
However, one of the most powerful ways to use Twitter is, to get people to retweet your Tweets, this technique will straight away send your message to countless more interested people, and will give your Tweet, far MORE weight, and believability as this Tweet can be seen as being a retweet, hence it is carrying a PERSONAL recommendation behind it.
We all react to SOCIAL proof – we LOVE things that other people love.
If someone has taken the time to retweet your Tweet, it must be good, RIGHT?
How can we do we do this?,
We simply add these TWO Magic words at the end of your message "- Please retweet". Simple, but POWERFUL. How many people actually do this?
Not that many, I can tell you – you do see it quite often for personal messages & breaking news items, but hardly anybody uses is when a product is involved…. WHY NOT?
It does work… people are helping you to get your message out there, so make full use of it.
Also leave about 20 characters in your Tweet for someone to ADD their comment, if people are going to retweet, they often like to leave their own comments too.
As a space saver, I also recommend that you use a short URL in all your Tweets, space really is at a premium on Twitter, so save every last space for your KILLER BENEFITS.
Get yourself some nice FREE short URLs to use in your tweets. It’s very easy to do this. you just go to Shorten My URL for instructions. Short URLs = More space for your message.

I now have three Twitter accounts, WHY?, because each account is geared toward a different NICHE. i.e one is an Internet Marketing Niche, one is more for Writers & Copywriters, and one is for the Personal Development Niche.
I’m not saying you need to have more than one Twitter account. But it is a GOOD idea if you are in several Niches. This way you are only targeting the people who are actually interested in what you are offering..
Give great content, This way, the recipient is far more likely to Re-tweet the message. YES, you may have the BEST copywriting book on the PLANET, but if it comes across as SPAM, who is going to take you up on your offer ? If it comes across as CONTENT… you are far more likely to get people to CLICK your link, PLUS you will keep more friends and get Un friended far less.
So, if you really want to go VIRAL… just include the MAGIC words – Please Retweet in your copy.
Sharing is the new selling
Give people something that THEY would WANT to SHARE with their friends.., give them some great content, either from your blog or from an article you have written specifically for your product..
Need Content? Check out the sales page of the product you are selling, list the relevant BENEFITS… turn the BENEFITS into Bullet points, then write a few short lines based on each bullet point. Job Done..
Quality Content + Twitter + Ask for a Re Tweet = SUCCESS!
