How Getting Started Is The Key To Your New Life – Not Being Great

Here is my take on why some people perhaps don’t get the recognition they deserve and why other people with over inflated EGO’s and their head stuck up in peculiar places seem to shine & dominate..
In short, it’s been a whole six days since I had personally written anything for Keith’s Money Making Tips, and I felt it was time to air my views upon my long suffering readers. yet again!. LOL!..
Here are some observations, I have noted about Successful & Unsuccessful people:
1) Successful people are not necessarily the best at what they do, they just have an uncanny “knack” of convincing people they are.
2) Unsuccessful people may be the best at what they do, but have an uncanny “knack” of being poor at marketing their talent – so no one ever gets to see how great they could have been.
3) Successful people tend to be “driven”. They focus on the “end” result and are not swayed by the temptation to take too many different paths.
4) Unsuccessful people tend to be “all at sea” a lot of the time, they lack focus – and although they could be just as successful as anyone else, they refuse to change their mindset and blame “other things” or other “people” for their problems. Even if the problems are of their own making in the first place.
5) Successful people always tend to look at “positive” angles, even when their own life is currently not looking so great.
6) Unsuccessful people tend to focus on negative things, even when things are looking up for them – they seem hell bent on self sabotage, and attract more negativity into their lives by focusing on problems, instead of the solutions. They tend to “hang” with other like minded “merchants of doom”
7) Successful people realise it’s a marathon, not a sprint and building success takes time
8) Unsuccessful people tend to buy into the “Business Opportunity Syndrome” and are looking for instant gratification as found in the infamous “business in a box” type strategies and instant wealth CLAPTRAP.
9) Successful businesses have solid legs, they are sustainable, plan for future growth and are built with the end in mind
10) Unsuccessful businesses refuse to embrace new change, new technology and once the business has been “thrown up”, it is left to it’s own devices, with the owner or owners spending as much of the profits (if any) as possible.
In short, you don’t have to be the BEST to be GREAT, what you need to do in my opinion is to be EVERYWHERE!. If no one knows about you, they won’t know what you do, they can’t get to like you, if they can’t get to like you – they won’t trust you or buy from you.
Getting started seems to be the No1 stepping stone online. A lot of people people wait until they make the perfect video, the perfect eBook, the perfect website and the perfect sales page.. In essence, most of the products out there are far from perfect, but they sell.
Do you know why?
Because someone, somewhere got off their A** and made it happen.. and didn’t wait to be GREAT!

How do you create instant wealth? It’s quite simple really.. go back to SLEEP…
LOL.. it’s true, the only place instant wealth really exists, is in your DREAMS…, yes… it’s TRUE OK… let’s look at some other FUN scenarios
Famous ways to get filthy RICH quickly:
1) You could remortgage your house, take the money, fly to Vegas and put it ALL on RED (or Black)… Not recommended
2) You could back all the winners at today’s race meeting in an accumulator…. Not likely
3) You could WIN the lottery…… Again, not likely – the UK lottery currently has odds of 14,000,000/1 to win the major prize.
4) You could be a GRIFTER and con people… glamorised by UK TV shows like “Hustle” – Great if you like prison food and big hairy MEN..
5) Steal it…. see number 4
Or….
You could just keep on buying lots of JUNK products promising the earth and hopefully one of these will be the MAGIC BULLET, right?…. WRONG.
Bullets are DANGEROUS and so are some of these over HYPED Instant wealth programs..
I have decided to write this short blog post because, I am a constant LURKER in the forums. I lurk in the forums to find out STUFF, for my two blogs, I look for REAL people who need REAL solutions. Now, in my travels around the forums, you see many posts from people who ask questions like:
How can I make money in the next two days, I have $50 and need a car. That’s it… no description of what THEY can do, it is now up to the respondents to ask the questions…
“What can you do?” “What do you know?”…..Blah Blah..
Some of these people have been posting the same questions for months and by now are quite well known, they just ask questions but NEVER act on the advice, they are hoping someone, somewhere has the answer to THEIR problem…
There are more and more threads starting in the forums by people who want some kind of “INSTANT FIX”… for doing NO work
I’m as sympathetic as the next person, and we all get a little STUCK sometimes, I will help any genuine person – but a lot (not all) of these people are UNWILLING to help themselves, or anyone else come to think of it, they just want ANSWERS…
I don’t know about you, but in THIS life… you give NOTHING, you tend to get NOTHING.. maybe a few handouts but nothing significent…
Now, I personally don’t know of a single business ONLINE where you can get INSTANT money, do you? OK, it might be your first day starting your blog, you have all your content set up and traffic is coming in and BOOM! you MAKE a SALE… sure, that could happen..
But, starting NOW.. how many people can make money online Today, Tomorrow… for virtually NO effort, NO money.. not many I bet..
YET, the Instant Riches brigade is GROWING….
It seems endemic in our society today that ways MUST be found to become Famous or Wealthy (or both) instantly, without any Work or effort… TV shows like Big Brother show people becoming Instant Celebrities for doing absolutely NOTHING…
Creating wealth is a SKILL that is learned by the TEACHABLE, I don’t believe for one minute it can be found in a Clickbank INSTANT Purchase… perhaps the many CLICK, CLICK, BOOM Instant wealth programs being touted around the Internet are partly to blame. This is not new – back in the 70′s & 80′s it was the Direct Mail miracle wonder products aimed at the WORK challenged, that were doing the rounds..and making their writers RICH. not the buyers
Sure, there are many GOOD products out there on the Internet, but they require WORK… There are also MANY, Many ethical Internet marketers who DO really care about helping people to make money.. but if you want INSTANT CASH…
1) Flog some crap on eBay or..
2) WORK…
I really think SUCCESS begins with the questions we ASK.. not to other people, but to ourselves..

When Did You Last Take the Time to Learn a New Skill?

I received an email today from one of the very few lists I subscribe to, which talked about the skills we acquire to move our online business forward and it got me thinking. So ….. when was the last time YOU took the time to learn a new skill?
Since beginning my online journey over a year ago, I’ve learnt so many things, it makes my head spin when I think about it! From creating my very first webpage from scratch, to learning about html, autoresponders, WordPress, video marketing, Facebook, Twitter, Camtasia … the list is endless but looking back now, I often give myself a small pat on the back. Why? Well, not for any narcissistic reason but because it’s a well-known fact that the majority of people who start out online never get past the first hurdles, they just give up and I’ve proved it can be done ….
Two points were highlighted on this email, two things which should come as natural each day as breathing:
1. Do something to build your business
2. Learn a new skill
As someone who tries hard to follow this mantra, I know how important it is to achieve this each and every day. The “doing something to build your business” might be implementing some new strategies, it might be some work to an ongoing project or it could encompass lots of small tasks which make up the running of your online business.
Learning a new skill every day might sometimes feel too huge a task, but look at each day as a new learning curve and see where it takes you. I also know how difficult it can be sometimes – life gets in the way andyour well-laid plans can fall apart so easily. If they do, don’t panic, don’t beat yourself up about it, simply decide to get onto it at the very next available opportunity. We’re human and things don’t always go to plan!
As well as these daily tasks, why not also pick something which you’ve been hankering to learn for a while and then get stuck into it? Master it, don’t just dabble your feet at the edges – dive right in!
The sense of achievement you’ll feel when you’re able to implement what you’ve learnt into your online business is priceless.
