It’s a Saturday… you know, Shopping (Yuk).. How’s about a little facebook Shopping?
Or better still, how about setting up your own facebook Storefront ?…. Can they do that? – I thought it was about friends.. facebook?

Yes, it is – Friends & Shopping…


OK, to set up your own storefront of facebook, first, you go here Click
This will take you to the facebook page of Netcarnation Marketplace. Towards the top left of this page is a link which says “Go to Application”
You click on this to install the application on either your main profile or you Fan Page.

What this application does is, link your existing online store – up with facebook. You don’t actually have your online store sitting on facebook itself, it only appears this way. Clever Huh!

It looks pretty good, doesn’t it. Also she has the facebook share, twitter tweet & Google Buzz buttons on her products, so you can share them through those venues.

Also with this Netcarnation Marketplace, when you upload new products onto your online store, they are automatically uploaded to the Marketplace App and, new product notifications will appear on your facebook Newsfeed, giving it a truly viral effect.

How To Use the Facebook Marketplace to Sell Your Stuff and Promote Your BIZ!

Hello again.

Today’s money making tip is about making money on facebook, using facebook’s very handy FREE tool called “facebook Marketplace”

Basically what this is, is an online local classified ads service – on facebook. The best part is, it is Free.

Each classified ad you make, is not only seen by all your friends (regardless of their location) on their newsfeed, but also by anyone from your local area on facebook who happens to be using the Marketplace directory to buy STUFF!

Now, you are not meant to be using it to promote a Business, but there are always ways around anything. What you could do is, give away a FREE ebook for instance - put an email address in the advert, when people enquire to receive the FREE eBook - you simply email them back with a link to your squeeze page.

Their is a paid version as well for professional services, this is conducted through a facebook partner company called Oodle, this can cost $50 a month for up to 25 listings, which is probaly still fairly cheap, but done right – you could probably do something similar for Free just by putting a basic classified ad on there.

Now each listing lasts 30 days, and you can re-post it every 24hrs, so it appears in on your wall. People can also comment on the ad and you can see, who commented and how many views your ad has had..

The system tends to link you to your  classified ad to your immediate area. But can be seen by all of your friends regardless of where they live as it is automatically posted on your wall.

My local area is Hertfordshire, so the facebook Marketplace listings are showing me all the ads from facebook in my own local area. I can see adverts selling a wide range of things from Motorbikes to Motorhomes. Some though are clearly Business ads selling Jewellry, etc

It’s FREE, so why not place an ad?

Here’s one I did earlier - facebook Marketplace  Now I did put a link in to my squeeze page here, so I will have to monitor this, maybe I will soon be hearing from the facebook POLICE… or maybe not.

I do like to feature free ways to get traffic, especially on facebook.

Let me know how successful it is for you, if you decide to use it. At the very least you could use it like a free eBay, and sell off all your old TAT on facebook - (LOL)!
